ISO certification, what does it stand for?
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies. ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality control. The certificate obtained is proof that EGEN has its internal work processes and services to customers in order and continues to improve them through monitoring. EGEN’s quality management system guarantees this.
ISO 27001 focuses on information security. This standard covers the strict EU requirements in the field of privacy and personal data, laid down in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Obtaining the certificate confirms that EGEN has taken the correct safeguards to secure data and handles confidential customer data with care.
“Happy that EGEN is ISO certificed”
EGEN director Mark Broekman was closely involved in the process and is very happy that EGEN is finally ISO certified. “It was a long process with an intensive certification audit at its conclusion. For us it is a confirmation that we are on the right track and at the same time a start to keep improving ourselves continuously. It is of course a fantastic result, our customers can now officially be sure that they are working with a well-organised company that delivers on its promises in terms of quality and information security. We have optimised our work processes and we guarantee our customers that their privacy-sensitive information is in safe hands with us. But ISO certification also means making ongoing efforts. Constant monitoring and improvement, that is what counts. That keeps us focused – the customer can rely on that.”
