BIOECONOMY EXPERTISE AT BIOKET
One of the speakers at BIOKET was our own Filippo Martinelli, operations manager at PNO Innovation. Together with Philippe Mengal, Executive Director of Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking, he hosted one of the plenary sessions on 6 March, focussing on BBI JU and LIFE – both important motors for bioeconomy innovation. Discussing the ‘analysis and opportunities of Public Private Partnerships and other European initiatives’, Filippo Martinelli expounded his analysis for the H2020 calls available in 2018. He ended his run with some valuable tips and tricks for successful bioeconomy H2020 proposals and for securing a H2020 grant.
The three days continued with other plenary sessions, conferences and B2B meetings, which were centered on networking and the main issues and stakes the bioeconomy sector will have to handle in the future. Of course, our own PNO experts jumped at the chance to grill the bioeconomy top influencers about their views on the future of the sector. We interviewed eight of them to learn more about this promising sector, and to share different points of view.

The bioeconomy is booming, filled with hope and full of opportunities for the future. Those are some of the conclusions that can be drawn from the successful BIOKET event, organised by the IAR, the French Bioeconomy Cluster and sponsored by PNO Consultants.
